Credit Union Card Center's processing system is the largest in the world and uses the
most advanced technology. Members can use their cards at any of the 20 million
locations and 855,000 ATMs worldwide displaying the Visa or MasterCard brand.

Credit Union Card Center's member service representatives operate by the
People-Helping-People philosophy, just like your credit union. Based on
parameters set by your credit union, member service representatives will answer
questions and handle disputes courteously and in a timely manner. Your members
can call toll-free from anywhere in the country. In addition, they can access
account information 24 hours a day, seven days a week via Internet access or by

Processing
Your members' payments come directly to a Post Office box held by Credit Union
Card Center.
The payments are picked up and posted to the members' accounts daily. Additional

Your members can have their monthly payments automatically deducted from their
share draft or savings account. They can make a minimum payment, pay a fixed
amount or pay the balance in full.
Accounting
and Reporting
Daily, your credit union accesses transaction and portfolio activity reports, as
well as a one-page summary of the accounting entries for the day via the
Internet. At the end of the month, you will receive a one-page summary of
profitability to help you monitor your program's performance.
Training
Credit Union Card Center provides training sessions throughout the year and hosts an annual
Users Meeting. Credit Union Card Center also publishes the Operations Bulletin newsletter
several times throughout the year.

Credit Union Card Center's system allows your members to accumulate points based on purchase
volume and other parameters you establish. You then can reward members for using

The Member Choice Rewards program is an air/merchandise reward fulfillment
program and is available for both credit and debit card programs. Reward
programs build loyalty and increase member usage. Points can be easily exchanged
for airline tickets or other merchandise through the redemption center via a
toll-free number or optional Website. In addition to seeing accrued points on
their statements, your members may call the interactive voice response system,
member service representative or Website to obtain their total accumulated
points. The credit union needs only to direct them to the toll-free numbers or
Website. It’s easy, creates no additional work for your staff, and your credit

Balance consolidation enables you to transfer cardholders' balances from
accounts with other lenders to their credit card account with your credit union.

Custom Letters
Through your Product Control File, you can send customized letters to
cardholders to automatically thank them for opening an account, to notify them
of an increased line of credit, etc.

Your members can change their personal identification number using a touch-tone

Plastic Security
Using Credit Union Card Center's designated Post Office box, undeliverable plastics are
returned to Credit Union Card Center for destruction and notification to the credit union

Services
Credit Union Card Center Collection Services can monitor daily delinquency reports and place
collection calls. Credit Union Card Center begins working accounts that are 30 days
delinquent by calling and writing members and using statement messages and
notices. Your credit union can set the parameters for how an account is worked.

Monitoring Service
Credit Union Card Center can monitor over-limit reports and place appropriate restrictions on
cardholders daily.
Fraud
Detection and CVV/CVC
Credit Union Card Center uses a neural network that identifies card usage patterns that may
suggest fraudulent activity. Credit Union Card Center monitors the alerts, attempts to
contact cardholders to verify transactions and puts restrictions on accounts
when necessary. Credit Union Card Center also uses CVV (Visa) and CVC (MasterCard)
technology–special encoding that is picked up from a card's magnetic strip
during authorizations, and CVV2 (Visa), and CVC2 (MasterCard)–a security value
within the signature panel. Additionally, the Falcon fraud product is available
for all card programs.

Activation
To protect against mail fraud, new or reissued credit cards are not activated
until the member calls a toll-free number and provides certain verifying
information. For debit programs the member must use it in an ATM or POS terminal
with a valid personal identification number (PIN).

Information
Several options are available to your credit union to cost-effectively download
daily cardholder account information from Credit Union Card Center's system to your own data
processing system.
e-Customer
Service
The e-Customer Service product lets your cardholders obtain credit card
information through the Internet wherever they are: at home, work or on the
road. With e-CustomerService, members have a direct link to their credit union
credit card account. At any time cardholders can enroll to:
- View real time account balance and statement information (up to three
months plus cycle to date)
- Download statement information to a personal financial management software
program
- Pay their credit card bill
- Setup automatic payments
- View their rewards points
- Enroll in electronic statements
- Submit inquiries and requests to Credit Union Card Center

Card Skip-a-Payment Option
This processing option provides cardholders extra spending money at critical
times of the year by allowing them to skip-a-payment anytime. This option is
different from the normal skip-a-payment program where it is offered to the
whole cardbase at a scheduled time such as during the holidays or back to
school.

Card Products
The new Pre-paid cards include gift, reloadable, travel, and youth Pre-paid
cards with several card designs to choose from.
ATM
Processing
Credit Union Card Center, in partnership with First Data Resources, the largest card
processor in the nation, offers ATM terminal driving, monitoring, dial-up
processing, surcharge processing and more. With an ATM card from Credit Union
Card Center,
your members may obtain cash, perform balance inquiries and transfer balances at
more than 855,000 ATM locations worldwide displaying the Plus or Cirrus logos.
Additionally, Credit Union Card Center provides connectivity to many of the major regional ATM
networks.
Add the debit card feature and you provide endless opportunities for your
members, as well as increasing card program revenues. The debit card product,
branded with a Visa or MasterCard logo, functions like a credit card except the
purchase amount is deducted from your member's share draft account. Members can
use the debit card in place of a check at any merchant location where Visa or
MasterCard are accepted, increasing convenience to your member while providing a
revenue stream for the credit union.
Credit Union Card Center offers several authorization methods including:
- Online/Real-time Authorizations - this is a direct connection to your
credit union's data processing system to provide real-time access to balance
information for ATM and/or point-of-sale (POS) transactions.
- Batch - Positive Balance File Authorizations - this is a cost-effective
alternative to linked, real-time authorizations. A file may be transmitted
reflecting the balances to be used for cardholder authorizations up to twice a
day.
